How We Rate

Our Rating Methodology

Every Grace Media casino listed on this site receives a score from 0 to 10, calculated using a data-driven algorithm. We rate each casino against the same set of criteria so that you can compare them fairly. By publishing our methodology, we aim to be fully transparent about how our scores work.

Ratings are recalculated regularly to reflect the latest regulatory data and licensing information.

Rating Scale

  • 9.0 – 10.0: Excellent – Outstanding across all criteria. Strong regulatory records and a well-rounded offering.
  • 8.0 – 8.9: Very Good – Well above average with only minor areas for improvement.
  • 7.0 – 7.9: Good – Solid overall. Meets expectations in most categories.
  • 6.0 – 6.9: Fair – Acceptable but with notable weaknesses in one or more areas.
  • 5.0 – 5.9: Average – Meets minimum standards but lacks distinction.
  • Below 5.0: Below Average – Significant concerns identified. Approach with caution.

Rating Categories

Regulatory Standing (35% of overall score)

This is the most heavily weighted category because licensing and regulation directly impact player safety.

We evaluate:

  • Licence quality – Grace Media casinos holding licences from trusted jurisdictions such as the UK Gambling Commission and Malta Gaming Authority score highest. Casinos licensed only in weaker jurisdictions receive deductions.
  • Regulatory history – We check for regulatory actions including licence suspensions, financial penalties, and sanctions. Recent or severe actions result in significant score deductions.
  • Advertising compliance – Upheld ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) rulings in the last five years result in deductions.
  • Multiple licences – Casinos holding licences from more than one reputable body receive a bonus, as this demonstrates a commitment to meeting high standards across jurisdictions.
  • Clean record bonus – Operators with no regulatory actions or advertising violations receive additional credit.
💡Tip

All Grace Media casinos listed on this site must hold a valid UK Gambling Commission licence. This is a non-negotiable requirement for inclusion.

Operator Trust (30% of overall score)

We assess the credibility and track record of the operator behind each casino.

We evaluate:

  • Operating history – Casinos that have been running for 10 or more years score highest. Newly launched sites with less than a year of operation receive a deduction as they lack a proven track record.
  • Operator portfolio – Operators running an excessive number of near-identical white-label sites receive deductions, as this can indicate lower quality control. Focused operators with a smaller portfolio receive a bonus.
  • Platform independence – Casinos running on proprietary technology score higher than those built on third-party white-label platforms.
  • Company registration – UK or Gibraltar-registered companies receive a bonus. Offshore registrations receive a small deduction.

Since all casinos on this site operate under Grace Media Limited, some of these factors – such as company registration and regulatory history – are consistent across the portfolio. However, individual sites can still differ in age, platform, and game offering, which is reflected in their scores.

Game Diversity (20% of overall score)

A broad selection of game providers indicates a better player experience and a more established operation.

We evaluate:

  • Number of software providers – Casinos offering games from 30 or more providers score highest. Those with fewer than 2 providers score lowest.

Grace Media casinos vary in their game libraries. Some sites carry a wider range of providers than others, so this category is where you will see the most variation between scores.

Payments and Currency (15% of overall score)

Flexible payment options improve accessibility and convenience for players.

We evaluate:

  • Payment methods – Casinos accepting 20 or more payment methods score highest. Those with fewer than 5 options receive minimal credit.
  • Currency support – Supporting 10 or more currencies earns the highest score in this sub-category.

How Scores Are Combined

Each category produces a score from 0 to 10. The overall rating is a weighted average:

Overall = (Regulatory x 35%) + (Trust x 30%) + (Games x 20%) + (Payments x 15%)

The result is rounded to one decimal place. This means a Grace Media casino could have a strong game selection but receive a lower overall score if its regulatory standing or operator trust factors are weaker.

Data Sources

Our ratings draw on publicly available, independently verifiable data:

  • UK Gambling Commission – Public register of licensed operators and regulatory decisions
  • Malta Gaming Authority – Licence holder records and compliance actions
  • Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) – Adjudication rulings database
  • Operator websites – Game provider listings, payment method information, company registration details

Why Some Grace Media Casinos Score Differently

Although every casino on this site is operated by Grace Media Limited, scores are not identical. Each site is assessed individually based on its own game library, payment options, launch date, and any site-specific regulatory factors. A newer Grace Media casino with fewer game providers will score lower than an established one with a wider selection, even though they share the same operator.

This approach ensures our ratings reward the best individual sites rather than applying a blanket score across the entire Grace Media portfolio.

Independence

Our ratings are algorithmically generated based on verifiable data. They are not influenced by commercial relationships, advertising arrangements, or affiliate partnerships. A casino cannot pay for a higher rating.

Ratings may be manually adjusted in exceptional circumstances – for example, where publicly known information is not yet reflected in our data sources. Any manual adjustment is logged internally and reviewed periodically.
